The most complete ESG assessment tool for European SMEs. 27 indicators across 3 pillars (Environmental, Social, Governance), sector benchmarks, SDG alignment and CSRD readiness — 5 to 8 minutes, no upfront sign-up.
The questionnaire is currently in Portuguese; the technical terms are shared across languages (all in English — VSME/CSRD/EFRAG) and the key interface strings are shown in English.
Sustainability reporting stopped being optional for large companies in 2024 (CSRD). Your large B2B customers will ask you for it from 2026.
European banks are structuring credit lines with ESG-based pricing. A score of ≥70 aligns with the profile these products will favour over the next 12–24 months.
Even if your SME isn't directly subject to CSRD, your corporate customers are. They'll ask you for documented ESG data — a low score raises the risk of losing contracts.
Next Generation EU, national green funds and Climate-KIC increasingly build ESG criteria into their assessment. Documenting your score speeds up applications.
It's not just a number: the report identifies the 3–5 quick wins that raise your score most with the least effort. Typically +12–18 points in 6 months.
Your score in context: how you compare with your sector average. 10 sectors with specific weightings (industry weighs more on E, services more on G).
Export your assessment as a CSV aligned with the VSME basic module (EFRAG). It serves as a basis for voluntary reporting or requests from CSRD-bound customers.

Select your sector and size. This activates the correct sector weightings and comparison benchmarks.
Spread across Environmental (E), Social (S) and Governance (G). Each question has a "Why it matters" for context.
A sector-weighted 0–100 score + E/S/G breakdown + 12 SDGs assessed + a prioritised action plan.
PDF certificate + CSV export (VSME). Re-assessment recommended every 6 months to track progress.
The CSRD directly applies to large companies (≥250 employees, ≥€40M turnover or ≥€20M assets) from 2024–2025. Listed SMEs will be subject from 2026 (NSRS). Non-listed SMEs can adopt the VSME module voluntarily — and almost all will be asked for ESG data by their large B2B customers (ripple effect).
The assessment is a self-assessment aligned with the VSME basic module (EFRAG). Mandatory CSRD reporting requires third-party assurance — our VSME export serves as a working basis and for the voluntary module.
CSRD is the EU directive (mandatory for large companies). VSME is the voluntary module for SMEs developed by EFRAG in 2024 — simpler, self-contained, and it lets you answer supply-chain requests without the full complexity of CSRD.
Only you. The data is stored encrypted in Supabase (EU). We don't share it with banks or third parties without your explicit authorisation. You can request deletion at any time.
The criteria follow European standards (VSME/CSRD/EFRAG), so the framework applies across the EU. The sector benchmarks are currently Iberian (PT+ES) and are being extended. For specifics of your national regulatory framework, consult an advisor.
The individual assessment is free. For advisors and accountants assessing multiple clients, there is a bulk mode with a free plan for up to 10 clients.
